Can we bring a lunch?

Yes! We have areas set up for your family to enjoy your own picnic lunch. We also have snack bars with a wide variety of foods.

Can we bring our pet?

Pets are not allowed in the Zoo but are allowed (on leash) in the Amusement Park. We do not have kennel service for your pets. You can call our Chamber of Commerce (207-363-4422) for information on local kennels.

Can I go on the rides with my child?

Please refer to the Amusement section of our website for a listing of height requirements and restrictions. Parental discretion is advised on all rides.

Can we leave and come back?

Yes, you may. Guests are given wristbands so they may come in and out of the park all day.

Do you offer group rates for field trips?

Group rates are offered at 15 or more people; however, reservations must be made in advance by calling our office at 207-363-4911.

Do you have an ATM on site?

Yes, we have two available. One beside the main gift shop, the other on the game midway at the mini golf ticket box in the Amusement Park.

Do you have parking?

Yes, we have free parking available for our guest at our Rt. 1 entrance. There is also a metered parking lot at our Rt 1a entrance.

Do you rent strollers & wheelchairs?

Yes, strollers & wheelchairs may be rented from the Film & Stroller booth off to the left just inside the Zoo entrance. You are required to leave an ID which is returned to you when you bring back the stroller and/or wheelchair. We do NOT rent electric wheelchairs or scooters.

Rates are:

  • Single stroller: $5
  • Double stroller: $5
  • Wheelchair: $10

You may also bring your own wheelchair or stroller.

Are service dogs allowed at the zoo?


Guests with service animals will:

Will be accompanied by an animal keeper for the duration of visit.

Due to the natural predator/prey instinct of animals, some zoo animals may react to the presence of a service animal.  The animal keeper will ask guest with service dog to move past the animal exhibit if the zoo animals become distressed , agitated or show signs of anxiety.

Service dogs are restricted from entering the following animal areas:

  1. Fallow Deer Feeding area
  2. Petting Zoo
  3. In front of Big cat pens
  4. Aviary
